Title: Is subscribing safe?
Post by: master80 on January 02, 2013, 02:45:55 PM
Hello all,

Pretty new here, ANYWAYS.

Is subscribing safe?

I really enjoyed my two week trial and I want to subscribe, but if I am going to get my money stolen on my credit card, it's not worth it....

I think the veterans should know around here...

I've been a credita card subscriber for 10 years....never an issue.

You might also call Hitech Creations and speak with Carrie about a pre-paid money order if you're still concerned. In fact, you might even get a discount with a six month pre-paid M.O.

Welcome aboard!  :salute

I have been a subscriber for nearly 13 years and have never had, or heard of, a problem.  HTC has never had their customer data compromised.

Been here 11 years on a credit card with out an issue, nor have I heard of any problems with anyone else.

They do credit cards, paypal, and I think if you call them you can send a bank check if you prefer.

Welcome to Aces High!

It's safe unless you're married, or have a job that requires you too wake up early

They will steal every dollar you give them and give you crappy service. God forbid you give skuzzy a credit card. That info goes straight to his insurance company in the Cayman Islands....

Just joking of course. Ive been playing for almost 5 years and Ive never had a problem. Id say your info is safer with HTC than with most banks.

You know... I guess it should be clarified... that as far as your credit card information goes, as you can see by the responses you should feel quite secure...

As far as a more overarching take on "Is subscribing safe"...

Well, that's a whole other can of worms....  please fill out this questionnaire:

1.  Marital Status  __ Married   __ Single

2.  If married, how much does she love you (Scale of 1 - 10) ____

3.  If single, how long were you planning on staying that way?  ___ Centuries ___ Decades   ___ Years  ____ Months

4.  How much extra cash do you have on-hand for a new stick, rudder pedals, monitor, mini-fridge, field expedient bladder evacuation devices?  $ _____

5.  Are you prone to breaking things when angered?   ___ Yes   ___ No

6.  Does your job require you to be alert in the morning?  ___ Yes  ___ No

7.  Do you have plans for the first three Friday nights each month, around say 10PM CDT?  ___ Yes ___ No

These are just the basics, fire this up and someone will get back with you shortly.

That's the 3x package, 2x is only the enemy radar views/goon locations.

I can't remember how you get the bicycle flags on enemy GVs, that may have been the case of scotch.

This thread reveals a lack of confidence in new players when approaching the game. Maybe time for a website update/revamp?

And then you read this post...

There's been probably 2/3 hundred trials over the last year and there's been 1 whole post about it.

A post in which, might I point out, the author said, "I really enjoyed my two week trial and I want to subscribe"

Sounds like lack of confidence to me.

12 years and counting and never an issue with AH, can’t say that about any of the Banks that I’ve had in the last 12 years.  BOA has sent me two official notifications in the last 6 years that my data has been compromised on their end.  Requiring changing accounts, re-issuing credit cards, the whole nine yards.

This is the first time I've ever read a concern about credit card info safety. What would a website update accomplish other than a new look?

If your nervous about it just use a prepaid credit card. That's what I use, but not for that reason.

DEFINITELY NOT SAFE!

You give them your credit card and guys in cartoon airplanes will sneak up behind you and open fire!  There have even been instances where I have been blown up by cartoon tanks!

$14.95 to HTC might buy you a subscription, but it certainly won't buy you any safety.
