Well why? What historical context was used for their implementation?

the allied side has delayed dar, in the tower only, to simulate the ground network that the claire chenault taught the chinese nationals to do, thus warning them.

the hurricane they have is tha mk2 with .303's only. no cannon birds.

Yes but they did not have the mk2 and we have a mk1 modeled. I can understand a sub for a plane that is not currently available but this is not that situation.

As for the ground network okay sounds fine I guess.

they had mk1 with 8 .303's, and with 12 .303's. they also had later model mk1's with 4 hispanos. i did not include cannon equipped hurricanes although i had considered it. performance is similar, and it allowed me to include the proper guns packages.

Hurricane Mk IIBs were operating in Burma, from Mingaladon in January 1942.

The obvious answer to that statement is this setup is in December.

there wasn't a date. the tigers saw their first combat on 21 dec. 1941. they attacked a large force of unescorted bombers, bringing down over half of them.

january 1942 was when combat started getting hot n heavy for them. that's also when the raf joined them in their hurricanes, and also when they started escorting b25's.
i think i've got everything bookmarked from my research.

Ah well I assumed we were starting from the date mentioned in the write up.

good. i was a little worried that it may have gotten too cluttered. i'm hoping you all liked that, as i wanted to simulate the crappy fields they had to fly out of back then........

It's a little cluttered for my tastes. Could you perhaps work with USRanger to get his custom small airfield that looks unimproved on future maps. He had these it on his Guadalcanal AvA terrain and they look great and are fully functional.

we've been talking about fields like that....in fact, i totally forgot about those, and will mention them. i'd LOVE to have something like that.

when i was originally doing this, i wanted the bombers to launch from the vbases too. the system wouldn't let me, so in order to test, i made a custom arena, loaded the map, and flew each of the bombers fully loaded, landed, taxied to the middle area, then tried taking off. the mitchell did it with such ease it was almost easier than the fighters. the betty did it pretty well too.

main thing is that people had fun............
