Title: Chute - Bailed Pilot Upgrade
Post by: Easyscor on January 15, 2013, 01:08:48 AM
I'd like to see an articulated arm on the pilot instead of the whole body tilting forward and back. Moving legs would also be nice.

The ability to select either the pistol or an M1 rifle (or similar weapon) would be extra icing. Edit: Perhaps enabled by an arena setting?

Because WW2 aircrew were routinely issued full size battle rifles for personal protection?

I would rather have one of a million other wishes granted before any time is spent on making a now useless pilot better.

in ww2 pilots were issued with the m4 survival rifle in .22 hornet and the m6 air crew survival weapon in .22 hornet and .410 bore they were stored under the seat of fighter aircraft and were used to forage for wild game, but were probably used for self defence.

True, but the op suggested an M1. Either way, what would be the point of having a bailed out pilot running about in game with anything more than the .45 we have already, which has been proved repetedly to be capable of taking out a 10 strong squad of paratroopers!

If we get hunting rifles to use, we are gonna need some game running around on the maps!  :lol

We already have squirls, now we need a .22 to bring them home.
Maybe squirl meat would cure gunshot wounds....................... ...

<sigh> The wish was for articulated arm and leg movement for a more realistic looking/acting pilot.

The "extra icing" M1 that some of you have zeroed in on was for special events, NOT the MA. Hence the edit for an arena setting in the original post.

Base flashing for an eternity.

Up storch, find culprit, and expend all ammo from rear gun because of bad gunnery.

The solution was obvious.
