I almost commented on that. Like the friends of the suspect said: He was either in on it, or he was incredibly naive and gullible to fall for it for over a year.

I'm going to go with the latter for now. Seems like he really felt a connection and got burned. What did the suspect have to gain and why target him? Just some sick, cruel joke made available by the fabulously awesome interwebz.  :rolleyes:

Like I said I think he was in on the whole thing maybe it started as a cover up for his orientation then a publicity stunt to get Heisman vote but for him to say he was with her for that long then never having met her even when he played at Stanford just too questionable for me, especially for the BMOC @ ND. Not going to the funeral or her grave is just unbeliveable

Te'o is gay.  NNTAWWT.  He concocted a story, and it got away from him.  Relatively simple.
