I have a friend whos interested in the game. Hes using windows 8, however every time he tries to click on the online arena to set up his account, the game freezes and shuts down. Same thing happens with the account admin section. Offline works just fine with a straight 60 FR. anyone else have these issues?

Sounds  like a firewall issue. Have him check to see if Aces is allowed through as a "safe site"

You could also try right clicking the AcesHigh Launcher and "Run as Administratior"

But i think Fugi is right. Sounds like firewall port access issue.
