It seems like every year the announcers are worse than the year before. I like listening to Coach Jon Gruden, but those ex-players just don't have a clue. They should send them to broadcasting school before they turn them loose. Do we really need those guys to tell us what we just saw happen on the TV? I am talking about Fox, CBS, and NBC. At least ESPN moved Jaworski over to announce something else. He was really annoying.
The guys on the NFL Network are terrible as well. I hope the networks figure it out soon.
Sometimes the games are on the radio, but there is 3-5 second delay. You'd think they'd be able to sync that up.
:bhead

I have but prefer hearing it. Some announcers are horrid though. Remember the guy from Saturday Night Live? He'd try to be all poetic and it just came off cheap, or way over the heads of most viewers including me.

My dad does this when watching college basketball and Dick Vitale is announcing. :rofl

I do this for Saturday baseball on FOX. I can't stand Buck or McCarver.

I have for a few years now. It is more enjoyable, get to double-task, interupts family less and the bonus, the announcers. The drabble on and on about who knows what. I always enjoyed John Madden but now, nadda. Also, you end up feeling less bias about the game and players.

this is real commentary http://youtu.be/KsVTpX7LdZQ (http://youtu.be/KsVTpX7LdZQ)

In the past, some of my family members would watch the game on TV and listen to it on the radio.

I do that for the cricket . test mach special on BBC radio 4 is the bees knees.

Ever turn the sound off when you are watching the NFL?
No.
-
When I lived in Chicago area I would ALWAYS turn off sound during Cubs TV games, than tune radio into game.
Now when listening to NFL, when I hear Bryant Gumbel, sound goes off...few others grate also...
-
I've always thought it would be cool for the NFL / NFL Films to do some kind of pay service where you could listen to the on field mikes instead of the commentary and no commercials
-
I always turn the sound off when watching NFL. In fact I also turn the picture off too or switch to some other channel! :devil
