Title: Aces High Super Bowl Predictions
Post by: Nefarious on January 24, 2013, 04:18:13 PM
I posted this on my facebook page... It is my prediction for the SB, you must pick score and MVP. Winner will get a high five if I ever meet you and maybe some other prizes if you come to the Dayton Gathering.

If Karma works the way it is supposed to, Ray Lewis will drop a game winning interception in the Super Bowl. San Francisco will then go onto win in a last second drive. What will follow after that is decades of losing seasons for the Ravens, while a resurgent Cleveland Browns will make several winning trips to the Super Bowl. Baltimore will then pack up shop and try to start over again, but will find no takers and will disappear into NFL lore.

That being said... Karma never works like that.

Baltimore will win Super Bowl 47. Final score: 24-17. Torrey Smith will be MVP. There I said it...  :cry

It's going to be awesome because the singing will be pre-recorded.

A crappy song by an over rated singer still sucks whether it's recorded live or in a studio.

The "singers" will probably make more money lip-syncing for 15 minutes than you'll make your entire life.  Sour grapes perhaps?  Yea, I wouldn't want THAT because, um, it sucks.  Yea.  I wouldn't want to be totally rich and sucky because that sucks.   :huh

Dave Ramsey says that if you want to be rich, do what rich people do and don't do what poor people do.  Hang a 12 inch clock around your neck, put on a glittery gold top hat and some gold caps on your teeth, talk like you never finished third grade, respond to all criticism as if it is bigotry against your native culture, and lipsync everything... profit!

Baltimore will win.  The story was created near the end of the regular season, pre-superbowl formatted during the playoffs, and will result in fantastic ratings for the super bowl.

Manning at home? Brady at home? Come on.

Atlanta vs Pats just wouldnt have been good for business. Why it would surprise anyone that the NFL is rigged when American Idol, all the scripted reality shows and entertainment in general all run the same way. These people arent gonna risk it all on a maybe.

And as a Pats fan, I doubt that the "Patriots" run that  began right after 911 was a coincidence. All rigged.

I sort of agree, but I think the NFL is too large of a an organization to control something like that. I just can't see a player like Tom Brady falling for that. Too arrogant.  :D

Baltimore will win, 35-17 with Ray Lewis getting both a defensive MVP and home field cooking. I think the league wants him to go out with a ring as bad they wanted Jerome Bettis a few years back when the Steelers beat the Seahawks with a few well placed mystery holds and such.

Oh the conspiracy of it all.

But Ray Ray already has a ring. Maybe for Ed Reed? T-Sizzle? lol

AND won Super Bowl MVP

Ravens edge out the 49ers 29-28. May be an odd score to choose, but I did some Southern Arkansas trick math messing around with both team's post season scores and thats what I came up with  :D

MVP goes to Flacco

MVP goes to Flacco

I just don't see him winning the MVP. 49ers D is too good for him to have perfect game IMO. He will throw at least one pick and possibly even lose a botched snap.

Nef if you think about how much they make you start to wonder how much of it is incentive to play the game..not football, but "the game". Win or lose, they win. Probably only a few players would ever be involved if that was the case. Refs? Look at the reviews this year that STILL were wrong. Im just saying its possible. And if so it stinks.

Did u read the bottom of my first post about ready to discount any of the super bowl wins they had for the same reason?  Once I saw the hype they were giving Lewis I knew Pats were done. I went to a buddy's house for the game and at the National Anthem saw Lewis fake crying and turned to him and said.."Well that dont bode well for us!"

Cant wait to see outcome, but its a win win for me either way. 49ers win its yay,bye bye Lewis, and if ravens win its .."SEE!!!..I told ya so!!"    lol

LOL at the guys claiming it was rigged because their team didn't make it.  Particularly LOL at the guys who think it is rigged because the Harbough brothers both made it when the NFL could have had this matchup last year instead of a boring New England vs New York Giants rematch.

Ok, last call for picks and MVPs. You have to pick an MVP, and every time they mention Ray Lewis you have to drink.

I predicted most of the game on channel 200 last night.

I was making inaccurate statements about SF staging a huge comeback only to have SF make a comeback doing exactly what I had written earlier.

Although I didn't have a dog in the hunt, I saw a lot of crappy refereeing and no-calls that should have been penalties, especially in situations where it could have changed the outcome of the game.

Makes me wonder if the game is real, anymore...

Now? NOW you just noticed that? where were you in 2006? Did you watch Super Bowl 40?

I noticed it when I was watching it, not just now.  I am only remarking about it now.

With regard to XL:

"The game was properly officiated, including, as in most NFL games, some tight plays that produced disagreement about the calls made by the officials"  -  Greg Aiello        :noid

But, then again...

"It was a tough thing for me. I kicked two calls in the fourth quarter and I impacted the game, and as an official you never want to do that. It left me with a lot of sleepless nights, and I think about it constantly. I'll go to my grave wishing that I'd been better ... I know that I did my best at that time, but it wasn't good enough ... When we make mistakes, you got to step up and own them. It's something that all officials have to deal with, but unfortunately when you have to deal with it in the Super Bowl it's difficult" - Bill Leavy
