Title: Ignoring specific part of the forums
Post by: Delirium on January 28, 2013, 03:27:08 PM
Skuzzy, can you make the new 'Kill Club' self-pleasuring center of the forums have its own category, outside of the General Discussion? Perhaps even break up some of the photos, film and sound packs to a new area as well?

The General discussion seems really bloated right now... not a big deal, don't delay something important for it.

Bruv, no it hasn't been granted as it is still under the General Discussion Header.

Ladies and gentlemen, proof positive that HTC does in fact listen to its customers...

Bah, no one understands... I want the Kill Club forum under its own header so I can collapse it and never have to see it again.

And make it not count towards post totals, while you're at it Skuzzy!

This does seem to be the implication from the forum rules and precedent set by Skuzzy.

I hope HTC doesn't regret the humorous creation of their new sub-forum as it does rather open the door for naming names in every kind of topic.

This forum could be improved considerably be granting the OP's wish, imho.

Actually, the Kill Club forum has the potential to be a less overall distraction.  It allows a place for egos to go at it in a contained location, DA challenge results or lack thereof, calling out those whose style one disagrees with, seal clubbing nublets like who.

Important note:

If people keep it game-related and don't get personal beyond the confines of the game (this is where the forum rules kick in,) then it becomes a relief valve with comedy potential.

Hey! Who doesn't love dancing bannanas?  :headscratch:

Agreed. But when I mooch around the forum I check two things, 'Show new replies to your posts' & 'Show unread posts since last visit'. With the second one it would be great to ignore some irritating sections of the forum.

+1 from me too, I have no interest in Kill Club showing up in my daily "show new posts since your last visit"

I'm in total control of my forum surfing. I only click on sub-forums/threads when I want (and it's often based on the subject heading.)   :joystick:

I only have the Announcements, Help and Support and Special Events collapsed but check on them now and then.   :old:

I have zero notifications on. I don't need the ego-pampering  :t of knowing when someone replied to a post I made.  Nor do I feel the need to be handed a list of useless posts in various forums that I have no interest in - unless I'm interested enough to actually enter them.  :aok

Showing all unread posts since your last visit seems very cluttery since it picks up all forums?

Sounds more like you're looking for an individual toggle for each sub-forum - is it doable? Dunno.  :headscratch:

I'm trying really hard here not to use one of my other AH smack-isms (sorry,I failed -  lol) :

Mommy! Mommy! Make the bad mans stop!  :furious  :furious  :furious

You might get lucky and there's an easily implemented soultion - but hiding the Kill Club (for as long as it's allowed to remain) defeats the joke (if there is one) or the intent of "name in lights." And General Forums is the logical place?
