Title: Skins for Missions
Post by: earl1937 on January 30, 2013, 04:30:06 PM
:airplane: I have asked for this before, and I am going to ask again! How about a "drop-down" window in the mission planner to pick out a skin for a mission, other than the default! All the skins are already in the "hangar" so to speak, so why not add a window for skins just as we have for load outs on bombers, fighters, GV's. While I know that most people don't give a "rip" about their skins, when I run a reenactment mission in the main late war arena, which I do every Sat night, I would like to be able to use the skins for the squadron aircraft which were in the mission during WW2.
I know that some players don't really care about historic missions, I do, and almost to a man, all the guys which get in my missions, talk about how much they enjoy them. I guess the "knits" and "bish" do to, because they always come up to say hello and it makes the game a lot more interesting.

Great idea.  Many of us who join mission have no choice when selecting a diff skin sit on runway to launch previous to mission.

What I do for my squad is create a mission for nothing more than organizational purposes. We all join and then launch on command, I usually set the mission launch time two hours after launch so I can access it and change waypoints.

So yes, mission skins would be awesome, it would allow us to use the mission editor like it is intended.

I have never ever understood why this feature wasn't part of the mission process from the get-go.  If a player doesn't have the skin, they get the default, but everyone that does have it should be in the same uniform without all the added hassle of 20 peeps asking "Which skin? Which skin?"
