Only some of you will know about Patty Andrews, but she was the last living sister of the three Andrew Sisters singing act that helped bring songs to the country during WWII and since.
She died today at age 94.
Rest in Peace, Patty, and thank you for some great songs. :salute

Loved when they were in the Abbott and Costello Movies. Good times watching an old movie on a Saturday Afternoon.
It's a great thing they entertained for war weary troops also. Good looking Gals too! :salute

Was about to say same! saw them on there more than a few times

Sad news. The list of people they worked with was distinguished. The list of people they influenced is too long to list and still growing. They were featured in the video game Mafia II soundtrack released in 2010.

I looked up bugle boy a couple weeks ago on youtube. I just thought they had all passed. I was reading the comments and someone who said he/she was speaking on the behalf of Patty, thought it was COOL everyone still thought a lot of them.

If you like WW2 music,go to this site. You can download for free and you don't have to download any kind of program to do it.
Just scan the jukebox and click on what you want.
You find some of the Andrews Sisters songs there.
Check out the rest of the site as well.
I haven't been online for about six weeks and was catching up on what's been going on. After reading this post I thought some of you might find it interesting.
