I've contacted the greatest minds in the 'Mountain West' to come up with new idea's for assault scissors. I figure we can manufacture and sell them on the 'Home shopping network.'
We are currently working on a vest (Body Armor) consisting of holding several of our scissors covering your vital organs. Our scissors we'll be made out of 'Chrome Molly' capable of stopping a 40 Smith at close range. (It may still hurt)
This is a great opportunity for investors to jump on board, we only accept cash.

That vid cracks me up.
Fighting back with scissors is a lot better than kneeling down and exposing the back of your head for a shot if youre in a situation where you can't escape. It may not save you but at least the attacker may get enough damage to slow down or stop the killing spree. With luck you may even jump him and wound him fatally, he may not be able to shoot back after being stabbed in the throat for example.

dont forget to make a casual vest for those "casual fridays" as well as a vest to blends in with a suit for the rest of the week. also dont forget different colors for example us steel workers will need one that matches our uniform, actually it wouldnt be a bad idea to make then bright orange with reflective strips. just dont make them more than 2 or 3 lbs as I already carry about 10 lbs of safety equipment on me. It may further dehydrate the heck out of money after all it only gets about 120 degrees on a cool day on the burning bed but safety comes first.
I refuse to live in fear like them who say we dont need them or those who fear those who dont have any.
