I know the map room is where the troops go, and I have heard the Vox chatter asking for the map room to be strafed but doggone if I can find it on any maps.
-
the map room is located where the small yellow square is near airfields or vbases / ports.
In a town it is where the flag sits, on vbases and ports it is a small green hump roughly in the centre of base. Take a look around offline bail out near one and have a walk inside!

As Bruv said, they're the small yellow blips/pixels on or immediatley next to a field on the clipboard's map.
At vehicle bases, see:

For airfields, they're located in the adjacent towns, at the base of the flagpole.

It'll look like a bunker/command-bunker.
(Good maps Blauv, :salute)

Thanks for the information. I wonder why they call it "Map Room"?

In the very very old days in AH1, you could adjust the speed at which you walked around the field. A trip from the tower to the hangar could be a leisurely walk or a light speed warp jump. Inside the map room there used to be a table with the entire map on it, and chess pieces representing which country owned which field. Ah, the good ole days...... :)

Randy, it looks like a green mound with a slit trench, just up a gv on a vehicle base and drive behind the Radar tower, you can't miss it. In towns it's right by the flag.

And now you can't even walk into the VBase maprooms. I wonder why not?

Next offline practice I will take a jeep to the city.

Tip: Many roads look at first like they head straight to the flag/map room, but turn in a direction away after a short distance. When they do, pay attention at intersections for arrow-signs with "Town HQ" written on them to find the most direct route.
Knowing that and that the map room is at the base of the tall flag pole should yield you the fastest route, whatever direction you approach from, without the need for a map or compass.

I always wondered where it was on a vehicle base. Thanks.
And I'll second the salute to Blauv for the wonderful maps. :salute

It would be nice to have a better, and updated online map with things like the map room and numbered hangers so everyone is on the same page when someone says something like fighter hanger 2 is back up. I noticed some squad maps have numbered hangers but each squad can have different number systems.
I think the ones on line are out of date as well.
