Title: Heavy Tank Sound/8" gun Sound????
Post by: BMathis on February 06, 2013, 09:40:43 PM
I'm trying to turn down the sound of external main tank gun sounds (or internal if same).  I beleive it's the same sound for the 8" on a Destroyer.

Does anyone know what sound file this is, because I cannot seem to find it on the advanced in-game sound menu.

Any help would save my eardrums.

Thanks!

B

Check the explosion sounds,I cant recall which one exactly but thats the sounds that reduce the 5/8 in guns.

  hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply Morfiend.  I tried all of the explode sounds while in TT yesterday, and none of them turned down the tanks around me, or mine either...

Sorry if that didnt help.  It does work on the 5 and 8 inch guns though.

Do you happen to have custom sounds?  I'll try to see if I can find the answer but you'll have to give me a few days.

Yea, I downloaded TwinBoom's pack.  Perhaps that's the cause?

Actually the reason I asked is because maybe you could ask TB or whoevers sound pack you happen to be using if they can lower the sound level on the weapon of choice.

Or if they can direct you,and me to the proper sound file because this issue comes up often, thats why I knew the 8 in guns were in the explosion sounds.

If you happen to find the solution please post it so I can share it with others.

   TIA.

solution ---> the name of the sound is tankgun ! So You must put a sound named tankgun into sound folder.
It is not listed in preferences ---> sound.    :joystick:
