Title: A Dedication to Dolby
Post by: Nath[BDP] on February 08, 2013, 11:36:03 PM
Stang sent me this film from tonight in what is possibly the greatest setup I have ever seen in Aces High.  H0ST tangles with Dolby for over 2 minutes until Stang approaches.

Not only does Stang's B25 inflict utter punishment on its targets, but it incites a barrage of whines from its victims.

I <S> you gentlemen.

lol at his reaction. Can't say mine would have been any different!

I once popped corky's P-38G while flying a strafer B-25C... I think we both laughed at the irony of that one.

:lol at host "fluffing get 'im"

 :lol at the "Yaaahhhhhh"

:lol at the lie about the set up, it's just another fight kill off by a opportunist pick. But it was a good pick, using that 75mm.

This would've been a better dedication though, y'know a few film links to quality filmage ;)

While I wait for the dryer, I've made this;

I know it's not exactly quality, but I only had 35mins to make it. It should bring to light a view from the other side.

Looks to me like H0ST was doing a series of lazy turns and not engaging until Stang was in range to engage, actually pretty cunning since you had 2 high friendlies.  Clearly a setup.

If you watch the other films of H0ST he's clearly a more aggressive pilot, as in the 2nd engagement when you started off his six.  A good fight and he almost turned the tables on you, pretty good considering the G6 is slightly more nimble than a K4.

Very nice films technically.   :salute  I'm not a big fan of the content, not enough vox banter / longish or unique ACM engagements, so I usually get the gist of the thing after about 20-30 seconds and turn it off.

They posted an AH film.  You posted an entire Youtube retort with comments, in high definition.

I'd say they won, even if they lost.  Which they didn't.

Edit:  Nice flying in any event BTW, Dolby.  You have a nice efficiency to your flying that you don't see often - not a lot of wasted effort or movements.

This thread sure doesn't look like a dedication to me.

Dolby,

At the end of the film, it should read, "unless you're H0ST's K4."

I have no idea who that is.  Or who you are, for that matter.  I know Stang, H0ST, and Nath though, so that seemed reason enough to stop on in and check out the film.

Hey, I've died tens of thousands of times in Aces High and Air Warrior, and at least several hundreds of those were in the most embarrassing ways imaginable.  Just let it slide right off your back, or it'll drive you nuts.  Going batty on the open channel just invites threads like this.

Going batty on the open channel just invites threads like this.

Exaggerations like yours are the same as nath's "barrage of whines". Observations are not and have never been whines or 'going batty'.

These guys being your friends/squadmates has damaged any impatial and rational thought to see what's actually placed in front you; you want whines, you see whines. You want a set up, you see a set up.

It's a lame and daft troll and the only worth while part was the time I got to make a film.

Good Day Gentlemen, and I use Gentlemen in it's loosest term.

Who said I was impartial?  I'm not even trying to appear impartial!  :lol

Also, realize that it's rather ironic that the very guy who was setup and then went batty over it on the open channel... claims that others aren't objective enough to post impartial thoughts about the event.

For the record, but at the same time I could care less since it's just a silly game, host was doing everything he could to extend the fight to allow an opportunity for some fun. Oh, and fun we had. Sorry it had to be at someone's expense... Hence his commentary in the film... You gotta admidt our film was more fun though.

I do like your sound effects Dolby. The flaps and especially the stall warning. Are they publicly available or home made?
