I've been using the same Logitech extreme 3D pro joystick since i started playing this game. It's pretty worn out out and i think its time for a new joystick. I'd like to get something better, what would you guys recommend?

Using T16000M, far far better, takes some getting used to, much MUCH more accurate, greater range of motion. Around $45 IIRC

CH Products.
The combatstick works fine unless you need a ton of extra buttons.

Thrustmaster now has 2960706 JOYSTICK which I think is a latter model of the T-16000M. They look identical to me.
I too am thinking about a new stick. I keep thinking about the Hostas X for the main reason of having easy access flap buttons for the left hand. These old fingers are just not that nimble or sensitive to slight variations in button size. I was thinking the rocker switch on the throttle handle would be perfect for flaps.
The T-16000 does get good reviews. I did a bit of digging around and CH has quite a few followers. Of course more money gets you to the warthog which is well respected.

CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, and Saitek pedals. Have had that for years...
CH replaced the fighterstick after I'd used it for a couple of years when the potentiometers went bad. That was in 2010.
Would love to try the new Warthog setup, with the ability to use differential thrust (dual throttle control); it would certainly be fun to throttle back one engine and firewall the other in a Lightning or Mossie and see what happens at the top of a hammerhead :)

I have had the saitek x52 for 3 years now, not any problems other than the cord that goes from the throttle to the stick but no biggie replaced it once for 10 bucks I think.

Thrustmaster Flight-X - solid with a odd button... $45 dollars and I've still never had to calibrate it...

I tried a Saitek and CH Stick, while both are affordable, I decided to give myself a Thrustmaster Warthog.
I've had Logitech to CH, Thrustmaster does not compare, but for the price you have to ask - how much do you want to fly and improve?

My saitek x52 is 4 years old. I have it hooked up through a powered hub. No complaints. CH gets rave reviews, but you need to get rudder pedals or use the keyboard for the rudder. The x52 can be used as a twisty for rudder, or locked if you have pedals. It also has an adjustable hand rest for those of us with small hands. I have heard some cooments that the CH sticks can have a bit of a reach to get to the upper hat switch if you have small hands.

x52 = button heavan and buttons are awesome

Always had the MS Sidewinder Joystick for years before it finally gave up about 5 years ago, used only a T16000M since and it's still going strong.
Never had HOTAS Pedals etc.
