Title: Breaking the Line - Frame 3 Summary

Greetings everyone!

The Allied Ace was AKELD613 from Arabian Knights he was representing Squadron Leader Albert "Bert" Houle. Boule flew with the RAF in 213 squadron flying Hurricanes in North Africa. He would start to accumulate victories when he was transferred to 417 Squadron RCAF. On February 29th, 1944 near Anzio, Houle would shoot down two Fw 190s to bring his total to 13 confirmed kills. This was to be Houles last combat mission as he was wounded in the neck. Houle passed away in Canada in 2008.

AKELD613 shot down two Ju 88s flown by Dace and Shamus of the 334th FS "The Eagles". He also claimed two assists. AKELD613 landed successfully.

The Axis Ace was Sc0tch from AOM/Das Muppets he was representing Hauptmann Siegfried “Wumm” Lemke. Lemke was a veteran of the Channel Front, where he shot down his first enemy aircraft, a Spitfire in 1943. In late January 1944 he was transferred to Southern France. In February he was transferred to Italy to counter the Anzio landings. He would shoot down 16 aircraft in March of 1944. Lemke would go onto claim 70 victories. He survived the war and passed away in 1995.

Sc0tch shot down a P-38G flown by Triton28 of 94th Fighter Squadron and a P-40F flown by 68Slick of the !68th Lightning Lancers! He also claimed three assists. Sc0tch landed successfully.

Congratulations to klipper of G3-MF for being the top allied scorer with 8 kills. SIRB of the VMF-101 Nightmares had the most objects destroyed with 19. The Allied shipkillers were:


5351 ({The Gun Fighters}) – 1 Cruiser
FiLtH (Nightmares VMF-101) – 1 Destroyer

Congratulations to SILICIK of the CLAIM JUMPERS for leading the way for the Axis with 7 kills and Muttman of 334th FS "The Eagles" for having the most objects destroyed on the Axis side with 28.



Final scores will be done ASAP, been a bit behind since Friday.

   GREAT job done gentleman, squad had a lot of fun, didn't do as well as we would of liked but I think I got the guys hooked. We will learn and do better in the months to come,

From the CM point of view, I watched alot of really good fights.  I still laugh at the 68th on those NOE JU88's.  Like fat kids on a donut!  Myself and my shrimpin buddy Bubba were honored to help.  And Nef?  I will work for you anytime sir!  ~~~ Snake ~~~   :airplane:
