I mapped my controller and it worked great in the DA, went to MA and the buttons act as default buttons but if I go to the clipboard it still mapped to that function. example, I mapped button 22 to the landing gear, clipboard still says its the landing gear, but it fires the cannons. the flaps, vox, chk6, it says its mapped but it don't work :bhead :bhead :bhead heres dxdiag mile long sorry didn't know what was pertinent info. the icons flash grey also

You are going to have some graphic anomalies as the Intel video chip is about as low end as you can get.
The CPU is also a bit on the low end side.
Pretty tight on system RAM as well.
Make sure nothing is checked in the Options->Graphic Detail->Advanced panel, except "Detailed Water".
Check all the options in Options->Graphic Detail that have the word "Disable" in it.
In "Video Settings" set the "Maximum Texture Size" to 256.
Also, because it is a laptop, make sure you disable any power management settings as that can contribute to warping/stutters in the game.
See how far that gets you.

Could it be a lack of power to the usb that might cause this anomally? I've had similar complaints told to me in the TA and it seems few use a powered hub,but once they do it seems to resolve itself.
Just asking as it might make my life easier...... :devil

It could be the USB bus resetting, but he still needs to crank down the graphics.

with water on and ground detail I get 59 fps which is way better than my old computer with 15-25 with graphics and all turned off, but taking your advice and turning it down

Frame rate is not the only issue. The onboard video chip is using system RAM for its work. The computer has 4GB of RAM and Windows 8 needs about 1GB of that. When you crank up the details, you are effectively reducing the amount of RAM the game has to run in.
The side effects of that can be random and make the game unstable.

the sony website says your laptop can handle 8gb of memory. its a cheap upgrade and will really help.

The easiest way is to take your computer to a computer builder shop, or a shop selling computer parts. They'll sell you the correct type of memory and install it. Installing takes usually about two minutes, so they might do it as a compliment.
The nerdy way is to find out the correct type of your memory, easiest by opening the cover and reading the sticker, then search through the Internet to find the cheapest vendor and the best stuff, order online and change the ramsticks when they arrive.
The prices are so low and the price differences so minimal that I'd prefer the first alternative.
