C'MON Sir Dale!....I bet it got dark and rained back in dub dub 2. :rock

I'm willing to venture that very few dogfights were waged in the dark or bad weather.

Have enough problems with clouds much less actual weather...
And night-time is pointless, if you want night-time open a custom arena.

They sure did! ...... and it pretty much grounded everyone.

Lousy weather pretty much grounded most planes during WWII. I will say, however, that in game there have been a couple of times where there was low fog around a base, or low clouds over a base, and it made the attack much more interesting.

I'd like to see heavy cloud cover when you're up at 20K+ with breaks in cover every now and then. More realistic, and woooaaahhh, milk runners have some sort of challenge now. *Waits for the incoming flame from all the milk runners*.

Being an avid milk runner, I'm going to have to agree with you. While I like to hit my target, if it was harder to see the target. It could add a new level of strategic bombing. If you are at 25k and you can't see the target, you either circle the target and hope it clears, drop anyway and hope it hits or have a team mate fly in and knock out a few buildings and set them on "fire".
Which brings me to my condition. I'm only in favor of this feature if the town buildings could be set on fire when they blow up. This would of course be a random feature, but I feel that this feature in itself could add a lot to the game.

I'd rather see some wind in the MA instead of rain/snow.
-
I think there used to be as well, but the winners asked that it be taken out because they didn't know how to get their bombs to hit from 25k. :noid

What if we simply had a Foul Weather/Night arena, for those who wished to deal with the added challenge?

I'd like to see the wind levels turned back on, made bombing from high altitude much more difficult and less accurate.

It would be an empty arena, just like when night time rolled around in the regular arenas when we had it.

Before clouds or weather, I'd like to see wind.

We used to have wind until the cries from the bomber crowd cried it was too hard to aim accurately because of the wind. Now we have no more wind.

I think changing the clouds so you can't see beyond your wingtips when you fly into them would be cool, and more realistic. Also I don't see how there would be much complaint, it's real, it was used as an escape in real life, don't think it would be hard to code, you go in and everything turns white.

In fact bombing with wind is only a factor when in a cross wind when with or against the wind the bomb site, currently corrects for this problem. However in a cross wind you have to adjust right or left of the target depending on which way the wind is hitting your aircraft.
By adding offset line to the bomb site on the horozonal line then wind would not be a problem. Once one has learned how much to adjust the offset for the target. The factors are wind speed, altitude of drop and angle of approach. "the E6B" gives one the information if you know how to use it.
why not let us dial in the speed of the plane, the wind offset, and altitude just like the did in ww2. If one wants to try, go offline, setup the wind speed for a map,(training arena is best) then practice hitting individual hangers. It is hard but can be accomplished.

PS Sopme of the scenario's have wind included in them.
