Lulz! That's why I hate hand launched aircraft.
I had a similar incident when I was little.
Picture it, brand new out of the box parkzone p-51 made with that really thin foam sheeting. Just got home from the store and really wanted to fly it... So plugged in the battery as I was assembling it. Got it ready and it was getting dark, so i had enough for one quick flight. Take it into the field, as I'm walking out, I check the radio, trims where all centered, ready to go!
Spun up the engine and launched, it immediately started rolling right. I gave it full left aileron and was still rolling right...
Noses over and go went right in. Completely shattered the fuselage nose and broke the wing. I find out afterwards, i must have hit the trim after I checked it as I was walking out as my trim was all the way over to the right stop.
I think I cried for like an hour over it because I had saved up all my money for it.

Lol RC planes are just like cars - never spend your last dime on one. You'll regret it.

But nowadays is so much better imho than even 10-years ago, you can get a light and cheap plastic thing to learn with which is easily repairable with superglue before jumping into something costing a year's worth of milk money.

yeah I think I paid 200 for my cheapo foam parkflier. I use gorilla glue to fix it if I break it. fun to fly around in my field. :airplane:
