Title: Cpt Dell Memoral Flight aircraft, skins, and tentative fields
Post by: heeler on February 24, 2013, 12:34:51 PM: I was contacted by Unclkurt and Flifast and was asked if I would help organize the Memorial Flight for Cpt Dell. Myself and HGDAN advised them that it would be an honor and a pleasure to help them say good bye to our friend.

The flight will be in the T/A, the country will be BISH, and the starting field will be A116. Planes for the memorial flight are as follows: B-17 skin 351BG / 532BS by Fencer, P-51D skin 4FG / 334FS by Fencer. Fuel load out: B-17 50% and P-51D 75%. No rockets, bombs, or external fuel tanks will be used.

All aircraft will take off on the SW runway of A116. When you get on the runway it will be engines off until advised to start them. Altitude for this flight will be 10,000 feet. Once we have reached altitude we will continue on course to A119, then we will turn south to the flack factory, then turn east and land at A114. When all aircraft have landed please park them facing the east / west runway. Gentleman please listen to either Unclkurt or Flifast for instructions.

It is an honor for the 365th-FBG Hell Hawks to be asked to help the Claim Jumpers say farewell to our brother and comrade in arms Cpt Dell. RADIO CHANNEL FOR THIS IS 114.

Post by: jeffdn on February 24, 2013, 01:24:38 PM: Just a thought, because it would be a shame if things don't go smoothly -- with that many people switching to one country, could there potentially be an issue with taking a 5.0 ENY aircraft?

If the organizers need anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

CPTDell's death has stirred most of the Claim Jumpers out of whatever hole they have been hiding in for the last few years. I know of at least 3 people who have not played AH for well over a year and a half who will be attending.

With that many Claim Jumpers together, you can expect that there will be swearing before we leave the tower. After all, it's how Dell flew with us in life so it only seems fitting that it's how we remember him in death.

Heeler has the list of 7 for the 21 gun salute. It is made up of non Claim Jumpers squad members and we thank you for your support!

All Claim Jumpers will be in P51d's

If you are currently a Claim Jumper or have ever been a Claim Jumper (332 over the past 6 years) you are invited to fly in our Pony wings. We have a list of Pony wing leads that have specific formation locations for this fly by. This will be 5 ship wings in V formations with each wing leader center front.

I'm SORRY to say this is a ZERO tolerance event. The arena will be locked at 1800 central US time and non compliance pilots will be ejected from the arena.

Channel VOX 114 will be clear at all times for our guest speakers and country text will be used for orders. At the missing man departure all Claim Jumpers can say your final salute. I expect communication lag that may last a few minutes so keep it short.

Footage of this flight will be turned into a movie and YouTube to be presented to the family of Kenny "CptDell" Dell.

Please practice formation flying with the auto pilot on and you will be assigned a wing leader at 1730 central in the TA. Practice formations will be flying at 1700 central on the route of flight.
