Those things are really cool (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I had one of those when I was a kid! They were marketed and sold in the mid 70's. I still have some of the parts. The really cool thing was that the "carrier" also had a rubber band powered catapult too. The launch shuttle traveled in a sloted plastic carrier deck with the rubber bands hidden underneath. The landing area was a printed runway on a 5' long piece of folding cardboard. I outfitted the runway with cross deck pendants and attached a hoork to the tail of the airplane. I was able to complete a whole launch/recovery evolution in a matter of seconds (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Was a LOT of fun!
