This thread reminded me to call my wife and ask her if the mouse we tried to catch last night was dead. The darn thing had managed to get the cheese out of the trap like 4 or 5 times. Last night I set it up with a serious hair trigger action (snapped my own fingers getting it set up too) and within 20 minutes SNAP, we hear it go off. But he wasn't in the trap, he was lying in the corner of the drawer in our kitchen's "island". I thought he was dead until he started to run around in the drawer. I didn't want it to get deeper inside the island and die there so I let him be...hoping his injuries would cause him to pass where he was.
My wife's response: "I'm not opening that thing...no way". She is terrified of small furry creatures. Large furry creatures are fine, small ones are terrifying.
Hope you enjoyed "lunch".
