Title: Heads up.....here they come! Heritage Flight Conference DMAFB

This weekend is the 2013 Heritage Flight Conference at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, Arizona.  The weeks activity started off with a CAF visit by Fifi, Sentimental Journey, and company.  They go to Phoenix tomorrow.

Today an F-86, P-40, and Skyraider arrived along with the Jug and Mustang.  More Mustangs and a P-38 are supposed to show also.

Looks awesome, we're supposed to pick FiFi up soon and escort her into CA with our mustang and a few other planes.  Going to have a big party when she shows up at our hangar for a few days before the Burbank air show, can't wait to see her then but will probabley sooner if I get a chance.  Spent all last weekend getting MoW's prop and spinner back on and running it, finishing the touches on some electrical now and this weekend she will be (finally) ready to head out and meet up with FiFi.

Looking at that B-38, it looks a lot leaner in RL than in game....or maybe Corky's butt just makes it look fatter in-game.  Everything gains 10 pounds on TV :devil :aok

These two pictures are wonderful. Just awesome.

I am sure glad I got to see the p-47. I never expected it to sound like it did in person. For as big as that motor is it sure purrs like the biggest lion you've ever seen. Compared to the merlin there are no sharp cracks or angular sounds, just smooth and harmonious.  For as massive as that air-frame is she slides through the air with grace and ease. A spectacular sight for sure.
