I think that's really quite pathetic and a grim reminder of the state of humanity.
Makes me kinda sick that piles of crap like that exist within our community. I think y'all should've 'ALT-F4 for aim-9s'd him when he first signed up.

I apologize to Rob for bringing this up as he is a good player and did his best to corral "that person" but I only intended it as an example of how far some people go.
Afterall, when it comes to vDALLAS, as far as my "intereaction" with him,( I never replied to him ), he kept it to PMs. I wouldn't know about the 200 chatter, as I have never have gone there.
I am here to fly P38s and have fun. Its the furball. Landing kills is not important to me. Its the fight, the challenge. I die alot but I occasionally kill my opponent. It's my $15.00, I'm having fun.
But late at night, if I am the only member of my squad still on, I'll switch to some JABO work, if someone needs it.
The 113th Lucky Strikes are a P38 group that likes strategic work and I enjoy my occasional flights with them, when some of their members are on late at night. <S> Sir Pyro.
Now, some people are just gamers whose only goal is "winning", at all costs. It's their $15.00.
There is/or was (???) another board troll that is/was truly annoying with his"club".
Is this what you were refering to Rob?

I was referring to the fact that, as fun as the playful taunting aspect goes, some go too far.
But I went too far with my expressing how I felt with that character, when simply another roll of the eyes would have done.
I apologize to him, but at the same time, why does he do this?
-
I've always hated stupid head game PMs and Dallas is no longer in a squad with me. Actually he's long gone from AH as far as I know.
I think that Dallas PM's because he's only about 4'12" tall and has most likely always gotten away with jaw-jocking because of his vertical handicap. He's my buddy but I have no respect for that kind of behavior, in fact I think it's pretty pathetic.

Sorry to stir the pot. This thread started off well enough. Maybe I should be reported for excessive complaining.

Thanks for the response, Rob.
I allways figured he was the one that got picked on in school. and this is how he compensated for that, by becoming an "internet warrior". While some people may find this hard to believe, I've always felt sorry for people like that.
All of us, in my opinion, have are own problems and hurtles to cross before we can finally accept who we are.
Some of these problems are because of how we grew up and some are for the things that have happened to us, that may or may not have been beyond our control.
My daughter died in a plane crash, when she was going for her 31st skydive. She died on Father's Day 1999, In Paso Robles , CA. An yes it tore me apart. Suzanne Elizabeth Ryder-Gray
But I live with it. Its not easy, and yes, when I hear one particular song that was her favorite, at that time, I still cry.
I understand that people, Like vDALLAS, have their problems as well, because of what fate dealt them. I try my
best to take it in stride. That's why I never responded to his PMs.
Because I always try to see the other persons side.
This is a game. This is where I go, to escape real life. This is where I go to have fun and live my childhood's dream of being a P38 pilot.
So therefore, if some people get PO'd because I occasionally shoot them down. Too Bad. Don't waste your time on insulting PMs. I'm not going to respond. All I'll do is laugh, And probably pour myself another brandy.
With all due respect, Rob, see ya' in the skies :salute

One month before the plane crash, I spent 5 days with her
She was 29

My condolences, Rat. Not that it would make anyone feel less bereaved, but it seems that she was doing what she enjoyed when she passed. I have always believed that I would like to be doing something that I love when I pass rather than wasting away in a hospital bed as an old man..
:salute
As for the PM's? They used to be comedy gold.

In the circle of friends that I have, in the past ten years, I know four families that have lost a child.
All of them in their early twenties.
All four suicides.
Three shot themselves and one was a drug overdose.
These four families are tortured by the question of how they could have prevented it.
What was it that they didn't see or hear.
I'm lucky in that one respect, that she was doing what she wanted. It is the one thing that has helped.
As skydivers say, she has her wings now.

I don't think he got picked on.
I would guess that nobody bothered to teach him that you can't talk to people like that and still be a good sport.
When I was a kid that type of behavior led to getting drug under the bleachers for a free beating.
