Title: range vox breaking in over squad vox

This seems like a recent development where range vox comes in over tuned vox channels.  I would like to either switch this back to where tuned vox has priority of have a way to pick the hierarchy yourself.

If there is a way to already do this please oh please teach me!  It's mind numbing to be flying over a base with vast amounts of range chatter and miss out on a squad call for help or the punchline to a great joke.

I think the queue is FIFO. And your squad traffic may be minor members in the overall queue.

It doesn't seem to be that way.  I've had range cut off vox (tuned) transmissions.  It would be interesting to see how the hierarchy actually works in game.

Do a search back into the early 2000's. This is not the first question about the VOX queue priority. Tuned VOX queues with range VOX in the order it makes it into the queue. The difference is who can hear it. My squad's tuned channel gets talked over all the time for the members who are flying in a highly populated range VOX area. With more guys on range blathering at the same time than me or the squadmates in the local area, range voice queue up more volume of playback than my squad's conversation and we get stepped on.

You could always ask HiTech if with the new sound system he will be changing queuing playback priority in favor of tuned channels. Unless he signals a change in that regard. FIFO  You guys can always use one of the other private VOX systems. When I've used them your conversations don't get stepped on. But, it can get surreal for squad members who aren't using it.

Years ago I was in an NOE and one of the mission members suddenly started yelling on range, they are popping, they are popping, get in the guns.....the shore was lined with wirbels........Surreal.

In that case I would like to formally wish for:
The choice to change vox priority to either range or tuned.

how about a 1 better
add priority to channels
that way you can choose which one has priority

alsoni would like to see a 3rd vox channel added
that would be better

Although the idea has been shot down before, I still hope someday to see a ".squelch rangevox" command.
