on the submission form there are
(Optional Full Screen Image: 1600x900 pixels, JPEG format, "fullsize.jpg")
(Optional Reference Image: 512x512 pixels, JPEG format, "reference1.jpg")
(Optional Reference Image: 512x512 pixels, JPEG format, "reference2.jpg")
does not really say what they are for, are they screen shots of my plain in the offline area?
and where are these shown on the AH website as it says they will be?
Hope someone can help want to get my new b-29 skin in

Not sure about the Full Screen but the references are pictures of the REAL aircraft or color profile. I usually give one of each.

The fullsize.jpg image is simply a screenshot of your skin. For this I go into the game offline take some screenshots, then crop the best of these to 1600 by 900. The purpose of this is for a future HTC website skins page that is under development. Players on the website will be able to view what the skin looks like before they download it, as not everyone's PC has the resources to simply download every skin. The thumbnail.jpg is just a similar image of your plane but in 128 by 128. I guess you will just click on this thumbnail to view the bigger image. To start with, the vast majority of skins won't have an image, but skinners will be able to add them to their old skins later.
The reference1.jpg and reference2.jpg are photos or profiles showing your plane, basically what you used as references. These are resized to 512 pixels wide often with a big border top and bottom to bring it up to 512 tall. Or I sometimes put two images one above the other. This info helps HTC when checking that your plane was real, saves them having to dig out their books to check.

Hi greebo thanks for the info just one thing I can't give them the reference photos as they are copywriter, so I have put links to the web sites I got the information from is that sort of thing acceptable?
-
I don't think HTC intend to put the reference images on the site with the skin, in which case I don't think images being copyrighted would matter. However I could be wrong about that, it wouldn't be the first time. Links would be probably be OK.

The reference photos are for internal use only. The screenshots of the skin, in the game, as as Greebo stated. For use on an updated skins download page.
