Title: Split sounds through sound systems

- I wish I could split sounds between detected sound systems. So if I wanted I could pipe the engine and external sounds through my speakers but channel stall horns and gun sounds/voice into my headset.

how about also splitting vox between two different mikes.  that way I can talk on range with one and Chanel with the other.

Windows really hates having a single audio device (sound card) but using two? I don't think you will find that supported by HTC ever. I use two myself. One for vox (mic input only) and one for game sounds.

  Actually you can.
My PC sound card is connected to my stereo auxiliary and I have a Corsair Vengeance headset.
All external sounds guns, flaps, tires, explosions, engines, etc go through the stereo.
The headset is strictly for vox communication, mic and voice.

Bellator, how do you hear the external game sounds through your stereo speakers when you have the headset on? Aren't the game sounds muffled?

   The external sounds aren’t muffled that much.
Look where the sliders are set for the Environment and Effect settings as compared to the voice settings.
My stereo volume is turned to max. The external volumes are controlled by the volume button on my keyboard.
In a GV fight I can turn off my headset by the button on the cord and turn up the external volumes with the keyboard and I can easily hear the enemy coming.
Of course I will shake the house when I pull the trigger. LOL
The wife just love’s that…………………….

Thanks Bellator. This was extremely helpful. I have wanted to separate communications (transmit & receive) from game sounds but I didn't realize it could be done. I've been using a USB microphone and running all sounds through my 5.1 surround sound system but now I will definitely go to a headset for communications only. And as far as turning the volume up on external game sounds it's not a problem as I don't have a wife (lol). Thanks again!
