On the 8th of this month I will undergo surgery to repair my right shoulder. I will prolly be grounded for awhile( apart from the augering and compressing I do normally :) )
-
What is wrong with your shoulder? I tore my rotator cuff over the summer, been doing physical therapy for it to see if that will restore the mobility that I lost without having to go through surgery. So far, I'm at around 75% back to normal mobility but the physical therapist thinks at the most I can get 85% restored without surgery.

I have 2 tears and a bad bicep tendon. I've done physically therapy and injections and it has only gotten worse. They thought my neck was the problem and they fused my c5/c6 which did take care of the numbeness and tingling in my arm/hand but the pain is still there. The Army did not want to operate so I was sent off to a civilian and well they looked at my Mri'S and said that surgery was the obvious course of action.

Good look :)

Good luck dude.
My friend just went threw a similar situation. He said the therapy after the surgery was...lets just say not fun.
-
Good luck! Start your PT early and often, we'll see ya back soon.
-
Bah! Rub some dirt on it. :neener:
Good luck.

Good luck. Two years ago I had to get surgery to have my appendix removed. There's gonna be a bit of pain when you get out of it, but those meds are fun. After you take one you're either knocked out by them or you're stoned out of your mind.

I am thinking AH will be good rehab for the arm and shoulder .......... :joystick:
-
Txdad tore his. Doc told him it's not going to repair itself at all. Surgery could fix it, apparently. Shots are making it bearable for now.
Good luck on your recovery!

Best of luck to you. While the PT folks seem like the new Marque de Sade, they will help you get back as much as possible.

The meds do nothing for me. Well, not quite nothing. They make me itch all over. I tried "all" of the normal ones, Percocet, etc. after my back surgery, and they all were the same. No pain relief, no interesting side effects, lots of itching.

Best of luck TC! See you back soon!

Thanks all. :salute

I just got home from surgery. They trimmed the tears in my shoulder, shaved down all the bone spurs and trimmed the bursa sac. I go back in three weeks to get stiches out. Right now I have a pain blocker in my shoulder for the pain. They put me on Norcone ( ? ).

Best of luck with rehab Tomcat. I'm actuallly on my way to Meadowlands hospital for an operation on my neck. My primary dr had a cream compounded for topical use. It has ketamin and flexeril in it, we'll see how it works post op.
