Post by: RumbleB on April 05, 2013, 03:36:46 PM
When you end sortie and have film recorded, rather than going film1-23-4-43-566 etc
Would it be difficult to put in the make of plane u were flying

so ur films would be named 109-k4-1/2/3 or whatever if easy then might as ell auto title your landed vics in it too..
ive 410 films left over from last playing ... of course i named them all dstupid stuffbut seriously, I name like an idiot and it's difficult to look through em. Looking for some stuff

I like the idea of having it list the plane/gv/gun whatever you were in listed as the prefix for the film.

Probably easy to do as well.

rumble i have over 3k films on just one hard drive.  I try to give a name of something interesting so that the film will be named something like "lawndarting after3kills"  instead of "ponyd 3 kills".  once you get into the hundreds of films "ponyd.." wont really help you sort out your films.

Why would I type when it can be done for me as fiml26 is auto. mgith as well make the auto name functional. Sometimes I accidentally click because whatever. is it that difficult to program?  I mean smarten the game up a little. This auto descriptive stuff has been around in other games for ages.

guncrasher.. I don't save sorties unlesss eomthing interesting happened. Unfortunately I am an idiot and name stuff like monkeybananas.ahf . Also if you get into 100s of ponyd films you should stop flying a ponyd. I mean how would you possibly have 100 interesting ponyd films?
Seriously. seras!!! i want to see, show me something fun in a pony.
I do have two p51 films that I won't open. I doubt it's me flying it.
p51pansy.ahf
p51shot.ahf

jokerrcriessobad.ahf

after 4 years I don't know what any of that means.

Chalenge... surely someone with your username would benefit greatly from not having to type.

If you like typing so much then what's the difference to you. If you don't want to get gay married then dont get gay married.

Personally I only save sorties which had some merit to be saved, so why chore myself with it when it''s something easily programmable.

But it can fix people taking advantage of other people's self-yet-humorous-depreciations.

It's called a ban.

Too bad we cant have both.. start out like the OP says but with the option to change when wanted.

Though I do like monkeybannas for a film name.

I can probably do the majority of typing for an accurate name, up front, by changing the default file name to:  urasswaskickedbya___.ahf

And yet you are the challenged one that is too lazy to type. If it has merit, name the film for the merit it has. In your case it would always be "Survived for# minutes.ahf" so why bother saving at all?
