Title: September Angriff
Post by: Chalenge on April 08, 2013, 11:48:11 PM
Last September (2012) you could still find many bombers attacking factories. Even though you still see them now they are not attacking at the same rate. Still, in September it was great fun to defend the factories. It is probably the closest thing to air combat over Germany that you can find in Aces High. With that in mind, and having just reviewed a number of WWII combat films from both American and German aircraft, I decided to produce a video of the bombers and a few other aircraft that I filmed last September. So, this is a compilation of videos edited to appear to be footage from a German aircraft (Ta152). This is game footage edited to appear as if it is film that has degraded after years of exposure to dust, light, and scratched by the phenolic tensioners of a film projector. In fact, it is a video made from only the first six films made that month, because I got bored with the process and I have other things to keep me busy (plus it was already over 200MB).

This is a silent video to save space and upload time.

Chalenge,  nice!!!  But I think I see why you are getting such few postings.  The Lancs are so sympathetic.  Sheesh -- you keep killing those poor innocent planes!   Truly, nice film.  Looks like vintage photography.

Thank you, FX! I was really surprised how great AH looks when it is modified like this, especially compared to original Luftwaffe footage like this:

Very realistic in terms of actually raw gun camera footage from that era. Especially the description in German at start of each. Unfortunately, due to the advances in photo and film technology since the day's of WWII, not many people have seen gun camera footage in it's original state. Kudo's :aok
