Title: not enough points?

If i have 167 bomber perks (never fly them obviously) and i select a 234 that cost 40-60something. why do i get a message "not enough points for that model"?

do you have formation selected ?

if it's 60 then you don't have enough points to take a formation, it would be 60 per plane. you can take a single 234 though, just unclick formation.
