We will start at 9pm est and will announce some challenging suggested missions, complete with in game, country specific mission briefings. (you have to be there to see this)
More surprises await.
We will post more screenshots later, but for now you will have to come in and see for yourselves.
This terrain has been a result of collaborative effort between me, easyscor, USRanger, and made possible with AC3D training by MrMidi and the SEA terrain team.

Looking forward to this. Jimson worked hard to give us a great new terrain with lots of custom goodies. :aok

Seriously? That's pretty cool.

Had a great time last night. You hit a home run with this map and plane set Jimson; WTG bud :aok
-
Thanks guys.
The secret that people didn't get to learn last night is that the rear base that links to the remote airstrip is custom and has no fighter or bomber hangers.
One of the parked Tabby's is set as bomber hanger and one of the parked Oscar's is a fighter hanger. Finding the airstrip and strafing down the planes shuts the airstrip down.
It also shuts the base down which is why it is a rear base that wouldn't get much use other than to access the airstrip.
Right now the downtime for the planes turned hangers is 15 minutes.
The airstrip isn't easy to find and you gotta fly pretty low to see the parked aircraft.

Excellent 'outside the box' design!

PS, If you think that once you find the airstrip, you are good to go for the next time we run it, I have other hidden airstrips I can activate when I update the map for the next time I run it. :devil

This just gets better. :D

Other visuals just for eye candy.
When you log in here is what you see.

When you report to O-club, this is the allied greeting. Axis has one too. The last paragraph is an actual excerpt from something Claire Lee Chennault wrote.

If you log into the unused country you see this.

Poppy and I were able to find the secret allied base last night! :D Unfortunately those planes were no sitting ducks (pun intended). With the small calibre ammo which the "Oscar" carries along with the limited amount of ammo, we were only able to blow up 3 each as he took the goons and I took the fighters. Once we had the location it was tough to get back with bombs as the Allies seemed to be on to us. Great fun and a great set up! Cheers to Jimson and to USRanger.

??? This map apparently has some surprises even for me LOL.
I hadn't as yet enabled a remote allied strip as the custom P-40 object hasn't been redone yet. You may have hit one of the reserve Axis strips that had been set to the wrong field.
If you hit the enabled one I would think the protect objects setting would have prevented you from destroying the planes, but maybe there is a glitch, sort of uncharted waters here.
Or maybe I built one I forgot about LOL.

Nicely done, Jimson! :aok

Based on the screen shot that was actually what I was guessing you'd done. :aok
Sadly, I don't have a joystick set up, or even a desk right now, so I can't try it out.

Ah well, we'll run it again soon and it will be improved. Rushed this version a bit.

One request, unless I missed it...can we re-arm on the hidden bases?? That would be awesome, I thought I saw one last night...turned out it was a pond... :rofl

How about one with a different look for the hidden airstrips?

Maybe a canvas panel, still will be recognizable as a rearm pad but looks more like something on a primitive airstrip.

Can You add a rick shaw?.... Looks like your having fun there Jim.
Hey make sure that re arm is secure, or a prop will suck it up.. :salute
-
LOL yeah just playing around.
-
So, how does the P-40C do against the Ki-43-II?
-
Not very well in my hands, but that was a given before I ever logged in. LOL

Ok, how about this? In reality they would have likely had nothing like our re-arm pads, maybe just a patch of dirt. This is just to have one that is recognizable, but also different

This will be the rearm pad for the hidden Japanese airstrip.

LOL, I figure the Japanese commandered it from some poor Burmese farmer. Any vehicles in that part of the world are bound to be old ones.
