yeah Ive been listening to the scanners for awhile, I have heard of 2 devices in the last 3 hours being found and detonated by EOD. Earlier they were concerned about having enough less then lethal out there but it may be moot as they just broadcast an announcement that #2 may have a suicide vest on as a trigger was found on the older brother.

The uncle is extremely angry with his two nephews by bringing shame upon his family and the community and called the two suspects "losers" who should be begging for forgiveness from the people they harmed as well as from thier own community.
Sounds like a stand up guy.

Father and aunt don't seem to believe it. In fact the father has accused US secret services of framing the two boys and called the police who killed the older son "cowards". From what I understand I don't think the family has been contacted by the US government, but have been learning indirectly from Media reports. People who knew the older brother said he was strange, but most are shocked the younger one would do this. They told the dad earlier in te week that they were not at the marathon and "do not attend such events", yet their faces are plastered on video images carrying backpacks next to the 8 year old boy who was killed. That should be a huge red flag for the skeptical father and aunt right there.
Also, there are reports that suspect #2 had international friends with boatloads of cash. He owned a white mercedes he had in the shop and paid $500 cash to the mechanic to pick it up after the bombing incident despite it not being ready. The mechanic also described him as wearing a $900 pair of shoes. What sort of ties did they have to get this kind of dough? Anybody else hear all of this?

I don't think we are reading the same history. Stalin moved the entire population from Chechnya to someplace like Kazakhstan. They came back. They have been trying to fight off the Russians since the 18th century. It's not like the terror attacks against Russia come from nowhere. For most of the day I had thought suspect #2 got away in the black mercedes (and inadvertently ran over his brother). Now I hear he got away on foot following last nights gun battle. The boat he was holed up in was 5 blocks away from the shoot out scene.
Hats off to Boston PD and emergency response/medical personnel. They really came out in force and wrapped this one up, certainly could've ended with many more fatalities. Hope justice is served for the families of all the victims.

2011: Dzhokhar graduates from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, listed as a Greater Boston League Winter All-Star Wrestler. He goes on to the University of Massachusetts, studying to be a dentist. Dzhokhar wins a $2,500 scholarship from the City of Cambridge.

It is unclear when Dzhorkhar put up his Vkontakte page. His profile on the Russian Facebook, Vkontakte, confirms his religious worldview; it describes Dzhorkhar’s worldview as “Islam,” and quotes the Koran saying, “Do good ,because Allah loves those who do good.”

2012-2013: Tamerlan posts videos to YouTube expressing sympathy for Al Qaeda philosophies. He has a video file called “Terrorists.” He shares videos of radical Islamic lectures. One video contains Arabic singing and bombs exploding, with the caption: “Then Allah will rise an army from the non-Arabs, who will be greater riders and will have better weapons than the Arabs … but their weapon will be the weapon of faith.” He is a follower of Feiz Mohammed, a radical Islamic preacher. Sometime in 2012, he travels to Russia for six months.
April 15, 2013: The two brothers allegedly set bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

I listened to the scanner traffic online and heard them discussing flash bangs and "blanks" and didn't even know that was the moment it went down until the scanner audio went largely silent.
