:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
Didn't even know that option existed until last night's FSO. Almost 4,000 rounds of ammo and I ran out! It indeed was a fun plane to fly. I didn't do great but on one kill I must have shot every rivet off the enemy's craft.

Tis plenty of ammo, you just need to fire when you know your going to nail em. Hi rate of fire means you need burst instead of holding down the trigger for 10 seconds

found that out the hardway in FSO with the ammo.... :furious

The .303's lose a lot of punch after around 300 yards. You late war guys need to remember to dial back your convergence to around 275 max and only shoot at convergence. There's plenty of ammo if you use it right. ;)

:noid I generally open up at 400 with every weapon. Bombers about 600

Those 12 .303's will definitely do the job, especially up close. :O I was honestly surprised how well they did at the 300-400 range as well. Though you really want to be inside 300 for them to be most effective. Even a snap shot will sting within 300, especially at convergence. :D

Yep. The 12 .303s do their job. When I was in the main preparing for FSO, a corsair cooperated with me spectacularly as I was diving in on him, hanging on his prop in perfect planform in front of me. I took the opportunity to shoot him in the middle of the fuselage, just to see if it would do enough damage to take him out. It did, handily. This is opening up starting around 400 on the way in to my convergence at 300. He was in two pieces by the time I figure I was at about 200 yards.
Best results occur inside of 300 though for sure.

They do blow off a garden hose of 30 cal tracers! :lol

Yep...only takes half a second to shear a wing off with that many guns.
