Title: Reggiana 2005
Post by: Zacherof on April 23, 2013, 11:35:22 PM
A pair of 12.7mm mg's and 3 20mm cannons, what's not to love?

I've been arguing for it, but the problem is I can't prove 1 squadron used it.

Would squadrons include just being attached to another squad of other fighters? Obviously they were used. What sort of proof would I need to make a presentable case? How many resources!

22o Gruppo, 362a Squadriglia, Luftdienst Kommando Italien and Flieger Ziel Staffel 20.

I'd vote this one high on the list for new planes to be added. Plenty of Allied birds, this would be a great Axis bird. And likely as many in combat as the Fw-190D-9 or the Ta-152.

Over 40 Ta152s were built.  Over 700 Fw190D-9's were built.  There is a lot of ground between those two examples.

Mentioned in this book, Reggiane Re 2005 (http://www.ebook3000.com/Ali-d-Italia-16--Reggiane-Re-2005_68304.html).

actually used by THREE squadrons......one italian before the sept 1943 split, one italian squad after the split, and one german squad.  was used in combat.got kills, should be here and perked as the f4u-4 and f4u-c are.  as a matter of fact, shouldnt the ta-152 and the p-47m be perked as well....both saw limited service and made in low numbers.

I stand corrected on Fw-190D-9. The Ta-152 is a great example though.

Perking planes in AH has nothing to do with real world numbers, but ingame performance.

If we would perk by numbers, the Ostwind perk price would go through the roof  ;)
