Title: Kernel Memory question
Post by: DOUG on April 25, 2013, 07:59:36 PM
Just noticed that my kernel memory has allmost NO free.......
Kernel Memory  (MB)
Total   270
Paged 219
Free     50

Physical
Total    4093
Cached   552
Free     3067

I just read up on kernel and what its for and does. Is 50  OK? Should I increase the virtual memory to make more room?
OS is Vista 64bit
Thanks,
elfy

I see no problem there, Kernel memory should be RAM used by Windows kernel modules. There's sufficient free RAM available for programs. Is this from WinXP ?
