should not the starboard inside exh stacks be shrouded so the radiators dont injest the hot gases?

No.  The exhaust shrouds had nothing to do with protecting the radiators, the downward angle of the ejectors does that.  The shrouds were to hide the exhaust flares from other aircraft, but they cost about 10-20mph off of the top speed.  By 1944 the RAF had pretty much decided that the speed loss wasn't worth it, hence no shrouds on Mk XVIs.
