Title: preferences/voice/mic DB boost will not stay set to maximum

the db boost resets itself to random amounts from 0 to a third to half back to 0 regardless of where I set it. it resets itself but not right away. sometimes after i log out and come back and sometimes sooner.

did you enable auto mic boost?

I have it enabled and no matter what I do the setting will not stay maxed just like OP reports. If I disable auto mic boost, no one can hear me at all, regardless of if the slider is showing max or not.
