This sure is a well timed vanishing act. As soon as I pass by, he reappears like magic. :bhead
What's going on here? :headscratch:

Don't know how it happens but here's similar event.

Got one too.

This is kind of important and wasn't like this before.
From the films, it looks like a relatively recent update has done away with years and years of tweaking of the "connection code" in that it reminds me of what happens in WB1.1
It looks a lot like the threshold for your plane becoming a drone (for later return to flight) is being seen by your adversary before you, yourself, experience the full disco........and then you are suddenly back in your plane.
As it was before, your plane continued on it's course as last known by the flight sim using the control inputs last seen by the server.
Now, it seems you simply disappear even when your loss of connection is not very long only to reappear somewhere else.

It's the Romulans.
It's ALWAYS the Romulans, especially when it comes to cloaking devices...

"Ehhhh, hey babeh. I see you have pointed ears. My ears are pointed too."
Just saw that episode about a month ago. She's not too shabby. :aok

It's obvious a recent update undid 10 years of improvments to the connection functionality because I haven't seen planes disappear like this since early versions of warbirds.
It's also obvious people are exploiting the glitch.

aaaannd there is no way it would have anything to do with the severe weather through the midwest...nah, impossible for weather to have any effect.

My point has nothing to do with the source of the ping issue that caused the plane to disappear but rather how the program handles it.
Planes didn't simply disappear and reappear until recently...........or back in the 1990s.
Aces high has progressed way past that but something has reverted.
Notice how the pilot disappears from the display on the right when this happens.

HA another one! This player was jumping around and every one else was steady. Even went 3000 ft under water before disappearing.

I had a plane disappear as I pulled the trigger on it 200 out. I beat him on the merge and was tight on his 6. After a couple minutes of searching and wondering what happened, I head home. Guess who ended up on my 6?
