How do you do?

Don't think Alt+s works in the viewer. What I do is pause, orient how you want your shot, go to full screen, hit print screen which copies what's shown on the monitor to the clipboard. Then paste the .bmp image into the editor of your choice.

I use a program called Gadwin Printscreen.... you can set it up to prompt you to select the area you want cropped, then dump it into a specified folder as a specified file type/file name.
There are plenty of other things out there (like Snipping Tool built in to Windows 7) but once you get it set up, Gadwin is nice.

As Drano said, orient your shot, turn off icons if desired, click Full Screen. Then I do Alt+PrtScn, paste it right into good ol' MS Paint. Save it in the format you want (png, bmp, jpg, etc.). I happen to have Photoshop so I'll edit in that if needed.
