Title: Specifications of Aircrafts
Post by: artik on May 13, 2013, 07:57:59 AM
I have a questions...

Where does HiTechCreations get an information about the aircraft.

Proper modelling requires lots of information like:

- Wing information (drag/lift coefficients, stall AOA etc)
- Weight distribution on the aircraft center of gravity?
- Drag coefficients of various parts, etc.?

And all this should be compared with read datasheets about specific aircraft to make sure the proper behavior...

Where all such data can be taken from?

They have an extensive library, and growing, library, but its exact contents are private for business needs.  We can sometimes infer which sources they used by the performance that an aircraft has.  You see this often in aircraft specific threads, saying the performance of the P-51D matches such and such test or the Fw190A-8 matches this test for this Fw190A-8.

They also have a time machine. I saw it, my last visit. It has a dual function - plane modeling and they can always go back to when the Scotch bottle was full.
