Days after Hitler’s suicide a group of American soldiers, French prisoners, and, yes, German soldiers defended an Austrian castle against an SS division—the only time Germans and Allies fought together in World War II. Andrew Roberts on a story so wild that it has to be made into a movie.
Sounds like a book I want to order! Awesome story.

That's an awesome story and it sounds almost too crazy to be true. :aok
I laughed at the topics at the bottom :rofl

Agreed. This story would make an epic movie. Here's hoping that if a screenwriter touches it they wouldn't feel compelled to 'enhance' it.

Sounds poo to me :old:

I read about that before, I think in one of the military history magazines. As I remember the German officer on the American side was killed during the action. Quite a remarkable story indeed worthy of a movie, maybe a TV movie though.

I can remember another post about Brits joining the Germans in WWII (not throwing an insult out at any Brits). I'm sure all nations had people who fought for the wrong/right side. It happens.

Is a outrage, bit like equipping Saddam Hussein or The Mujahideen by the US :cry
But we won't talk about that :old:
The Soviet Union supplied the Narzzies with raw materials right up to the invasion of the Soviet Union :uhoh
