Embedding LUA Script support to AH would enable custom features for special events, for example:
1. Enforce custom life rules (1 on aircraft, 2 in gv, if landed it is ok you can restart, etc)
2. Enforce aircraft limits in more progressive way: no more than 8 planes of type X and if damaged it is not recoverable
3. Allow conditional actions - if something is destroyed enable/disable option
4. Send messages in case of events
It could be very powerful tool for both special events and "historical arenas", it would allow implementing new features like SAR or GCI and so on.

Having been associated with AH since 2002 I suspect you know this game allows no user programing leverage from external sources nor opens an interface even if reportedly benign. CM controls can be "Wished" for in detail that Hitech over time has agreed useful and created or modified subsequent static controls. Why not simply wish for Hitech to make Aces High an open source program and take your chances? A camel's nose is hard to push back once it's under the edge of the tent. During the ensuing scuffle to control the camel, anything smaller can slip into the tent unnoticed.

Let me know when there's a nice camel toe in the tent.

Can you imagine what we could do in AvA? Set up different criteria for winning the battle such as elimination of a certain number of enemy. Control and or destruction of key bases and specific strategic areas rather than just a percentage, not to mention modeling attrition by have a finite number of certain plane models enabled, etc.
The thing is, any of this would have to wait to be developed by the company. For security reasons, they are not going to let external programs along the lines of IL2 Server Commander or fbdaemon to interface.
