What of these textures do you prefer??

1st pic was taken from alt of 1k and 2nd from 5k

Nice work.. but its definately a 5k+ terrain.  It would be nice if buildings could be modeled en masse.  I do understand the concessions (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

I prefer the 2nd set.  They looked best from both alts.

Very nice.

Not sure what set it's from, but the 4th picture looks the best to me.

edit... I think it's the red that's making the top two and the bottom two less attractive for me.

The 2nd set (pictures #3 and #4) look more balanced be it up close and at higher alt to me.

I like the 2nd and 3rd sets the best.  I don't think you should give up on the first one though.  I like its more haphazard streets... some cities are like that.  I think the color of the 1st set is where it needs work maybe.

The 1st two look actually most ´40 era town with red roofs. Others look more like modern cities.

3 & 4 look best visually though.

I agree with janjan - the first set looks like WWII era. The other sets look modern - modern era U.S.

I don't think you see tar and gravel roofs too much in WWII era Europe - is mostly red clay tile or some such. But generally darker as there isn't much summer heat load from what I understand.

Also I think old European cities tend to have more roads at odd angles which the first set models nicely. The rectilinear roads in the last two also say 50's-modern era U.S. city.

In fast the 1st set was that I prefer also because look as a european town but...
