yep he was in mid war... he killed an m18 18 times without getting killed and some toher random type vehicles.
I asked him why waste your time killng your squaddie flakhappy 23 times and he said he "earned" those kills.
I told him to drop the act because its all recorded on the stats and theres no point padding because no one cares if you can get a high score but they love a good witch hunt for shade killing padders :)

My twelve were bagged in a large GV battle against tanks that were fighting back.
But this was more than a decade ago now.

And here I though having 32 kills this tour was good for an M8, not all at once though. Guess I'll just have to try harder and avoid Festers IL2.

I caught them on May 2nd. DESO told me to not engage a con inbound to a field that I was upping from. I asked why since he was sitting at the end of runway in Bombers. His reply was " I'm teaching a squaddie how to shoot". Told them to go to TA or DA. Reply was "Don't get points there". A bish upped and drove a wirble over and sat near the bombers. DESO began yelling "Kilroy look out" on Range channel. Wrong channel and to late. Kilroy died before he could rocket kill DESO. They logged off immediately after.
I logged on a couple days later and saw they were doing it again but as knight/rook.

I wondered why neither of them had their raw prawn tags on and I guess this explains why.
Shame because both are likeable chaps but hopefully HTC will hurry up and remove the ability to earn perks in non LW arenas. Why should the honest, genuine folk in late war have to put up with Kilroy's Tiger 2 dominating a spawn battle from this sort of behaviour! It's not in the spirit of the game just like that lance armstrong fellow.
As for alchemists it is disappointing to see because they have alot of new players sucked up into their squad who will think this is an acceptable way to play the game.

You can make 20 perks in one sortie with a decent 30 ENY plane with 3-5 kills...easily... Hell, fly a Mossie and just BnZ. You can't miss with 4 laser cannons...can you? :eek:

It's hurting the game. The more players are circumventing perk limits by such things, the higher the overall impact. In the end, it affects everyone in one way or another as it changes the game on many levels. Especially when more and more players learn they are getting away with these things.
You can make 20 perks in one sortie with a decent 30 ENY plane with 3-5 kills...easily..
For the vast majority of players this is NOT easy at all.

Indeed.
It discourages those of us who play the game as intended from even trying. Why should I try to learn to tank using slow, vulnerable Panzer IV Hs, undergunned, vulnerable T-34/76s and slow, undergunned, vulnerable M4A3(75)s when facing excessive numbers of Tigers and Panthers?

HTC needs to get on the ball with this.
This is getting frequent enough that the shade vulching apologists aren't even showing up in this thread because they're tired. :)

it would help if they stop the carry over of perk points from one arena to another...always someone trying to game the game.

It is really hard to get a grasp on the true relational value of the tanks in the game. Right now the Tiger II has, by far, the highest K/D ratio of any unit in the game, but how much that is distorted by concrete sitting Tiger IIs is impossible to know. I suspect that the T-34/85 and M4A3(76) ought to be unperked and the perk prices of the Sherman VC reduced.
As it stands now I found trying to learn to tank to be a steeper climb than learning air combat as the units you can use initially are so massively outclassed by the commonly used Panther V G, T-34/85 and M4A3(76). After many deaths I managed to gather 8 perk points by killing a Wirbelwind and a Panther V G in a T-34/76, though the Wirbelwind tracked me so I couldn't retreat to land the kills, the Panther was already turreted when it came out of the woods about 200 yards from my crippled T-34/76, so I put a HVAP round through its side as it drove by, killing it. The thing is, given how long it took me to get those 8 perk points I don't want to risk them by grabbing a T-34/85 or other cheap perk GV given how often I simply died without ever spotting my attacker. I'd want at least 50 perk points to buy many T-34/85s before I start trying to use it.
To that end, I would suggest a few changes to the GV system. 1) To "Land Successfully" you would need to be either inside a GV hangar or have no GV enemy closer than 3000 or 4000 yards and no airplane enemy closer than 2000 yards. 2) A method of determining if you are clear and free of enemies and able to land. Perhaps limit this from being displayed within 5 or 10 minutes of you having fired a gun or had an enemy round/bomb/rocket land within 500 yards of you. I think that these changes would reduce the concrete sitting and allow a much more accurate assessment of the true relative value of the tanks. Perk price adjustments could be made as needed.
Of course I would also limit perks to being used within the arena in which they were earned.

There are some folks who prefer the non-LW arenas. Why shouldn't they be able to earn perks for their arena? The best and most fair solution is to limit perk usage to the arena in which they were earned.

Karnak, resupplying buildings at towns also gets perks, that is how I earned mine while learning to GV. I recently got the resupply 5000 objects achievement which is a lot of m3 runs. I also take my tiger2 well off of concrete, but it is a pain when certain players immediately bomb you if you kill them once. Yes the learning curve for GVs is quite steep.

It would appear that this is not an isolated incident, but a behavior that is conducted by many members of your squad. That would lead me to believe that this is conduct that is condoned by that squad. So now I guess it's time to inspect said squads stats and see just how deep this really runs. Do you all cheat at solitaire too?

I understand many new players working a part time job for perks: it's simply the result of the game low perk rewarding formula : win the war in this dificult settings get 20 perks ,lol : even Wall Mart pays better. Give players more perks let them crash more jets and have fun.

That goes against the principal reason for the perks, to limit the uber rides.
Shade vulching for perks is just the lazy way out when you consider the very capable higher ENY birds we have in the MA.

I recommend the 109E for perk farming in an enjoyable, legitimate and fun atmosphere.

Fester, Raw Prawns Co is ftJR, I was actually the first squad member to notice this in the stats and after a quick deliberation with JR (who is on holidays in Japan) ejected both Kilroy and Des from the squad. It is not condoned by the prawns nor will it ever be, any other prawns found doing this will also be ejected.

If you look at the current kill totals it seems almost everybody is in a Panzer IV H, T-34/85 or Panther V G..
That said, I'd leave the Sherman VC and M18 perked, though lower the cost of the Sherman VC as it is hardly used now. I'd raise the ENY of the Panzer IV H to give it a reason for being and let the T-34/85 and M4A3(76) be the Spitfire Mk XVI and P-51D of the tank world.

:rofl :rofl... talk about getting all the facts wrong... thank god you're not doing jury duty... i was indeed teaching kilroy...firstly i din tell you i cant get points... secondly.. i didn't even yell at kilroy to tell him to look out.. you could really be a story teller... you should think of a career change

What about achievements? getting achievements either using shade accounts, or getting your squaddie to help you get the achivements... i haven't seen anyone up at SDKfz 251 for quite a while now... last kill for the GV achievement....if time was esstential in getting that achievement, how long do i need to wait to get that achievement? i live in ASIA... by the time i get back from work to get on aces, usually there isn't anyone on.. maybe 100 players if i'm lucky.. weekends are dedicated to my GF( i do intend to marry her and keep her happy), do couplely stuff.. so i dun get much time on aces as much as i would like to.. so achievements are kinda like good for me.. at least i have something to look forward to instead of trying to get kills in a sparsely populated arena..well.. you can bring out the torches and pitchforks for all i care... i got someone to help me get my achievements...FYI... i didn't earn no perkies... cos i never landed them.. The only problem i had was because my rank went up due to those kills.. and that kinda set the torches and pitchforks going... i like stars to my name... cos thats all i want and can get from the game at the moment....So if you think i did wrong... please get skuzzy to take my perks away... BTW... i jsut returned to the game so i have any about 300 plus fighter perkies... 200 plus bomber perkies and 300 plus gv perkies... so take them away if you think that will make you feel better... but i can tell you...nothing is solved.. to me its just back to square one... do you really think that will actually help stop? you guys have absolutely no idea how many of these people are out there.. actually doing it for perkies in MW or EW. Bang on your chests all you want..i got my ear muffs on..so there :neener:

Des, I got my SD kill in the MA with rockets, did it take some time, and practice, yes..was it worth it yes. It was a fun challenge, and it was good feeling knowing I did it without having to kill a buddy or shade.

Excuses I read are: Lives in Asia, trying to get into GF's pants on the weekend, I didn't earn perks it was achievements I cheated on, and achievements would take too long if done legitimately.

:aok there ya go, that's the way to do it...tell it like it is, you have no problem gaming the game because everything else takes too much time and is beyond your ability. after all it's your $15 and you will do whatever it takes to make yourself feel better for not being able to compete with everyone else. don't forget to tell them that if you could find a way to cheat you would do it without care...

Found this one the first few days I came back, basically he doesn't take the time to earn the kills legit wise, instead kills shades or teammates. Again some vehicles/planes are RARE to see in the main arena, doesn't mean you can't find them - you just have to be patient instead of shade killing.

Thats what I'm saying, it's not impossible, you just have to try. Stop being lazy and work for an achievement. The people that are out there killing buddies or shades are taking away from the validity of the actual achievement.
I see a few achievements that are not easy to get - one being shooting down two 262s in one fighter sortie - now I have done this a few times in the past, its very rare to actually score two in one sortie. Second being shooting down the elusive Ar234, by the time you spot them - they are already gone.
I was fortunate to catch 3 B29s hitting strats under 15k - a fate I will never see again (I did catch three on the first day the B29 came out in a 109g6).
Some achievements might take months if not years to complete, assuming Luck and skill come together for one magical moment.

But I think that's what makes the achievements neat. Yes some are going to be difficult to meet, but when the moment presents it's you take advantage and capitalize on the opportunity. Then those become real achievements.

It looks as if the term achievement has been misunderstood. Achievement means to achieve you don't get it for just showing up. The idea behind giving achievements is to encourage people to achieve. I guess that simple idea is lost on these guys.. Or else these guys have confused the word achievement with freebie.

And how much are people paying? I'm a little short on $$ lately... two more weeks of school.

What about achievements? getting achievements either using shade accounts, or getting your squaddie to help you get the achivements... i haven't seen anyone up at SDKfz 251 for quite a while now... last kill for the GV achievement....if time was esstential in getting that achievement, how long do i need to wait to get that achievement? i live in ASIA... by the time i get back from work to get on aces, usually there isn't anyone on.. maybe 100 players if i'm lucky.. weekends are dedicated to my GF( i do intend to marry her and keep her happy), do couplely stuff.. so i dun get much time on aces as much as i would like to.. so achievements are kinda like good for me.. at least i have something to look forward to instead of trying to get kills in a sparsely populated arena..well.. you can bring out the torches and pitchforks for all i care... i got someone to help me get my achievements...FYI... i didn't earn no perkies... cos i never landed them.. The only problem i had was because my rank went up due to those kills.. and that kinda set the torches and pitchforks going... i like stars to my name... cos thats all i want and can get from the game at the moment....So if you think i did wrong... please get skuzzy to take my perks away... BTW... i jsut returned to the game so i have any about 300 plus fighter perkies... 200 plus bomber perkies and 300 plus gv perkies... so take them away if you think that will make you feel better... but i can tell you...nothing is solved.. to me its just back to square one... do you really think that will actually help stop? you guys have absolutely no idea how many of these people are out there.. actually doing it for perkies in MW or EW. I see a few achievements that are not easy to get - one being shooting down two 262s in one fighter sortie - now I have done this a few times in the past, its very rare to actually score two in one sortie. Second being shooting down the elusive Ar234, by the time you spot them - they are already gone.
I was fortunate to catch 3 B29s hitting strats under 15k - a fate I will never see again (I did catch three on the first day the B29 came out in a 109g6).
Some achievements might take months if not years to complete, assuming Luck and skill come together for one magical moment.
I think this was my best sortie ever.....but soooooooooooooooooo darn LUCKY....2 262 kills in a 205....about a year ago....I will never get 2 262 kills in another sortie again

Achievement n something accomplished, as by superior ability, special effort, or great valor.
I've never understood why someone would cheat to accomplish something that matters to no one but themselves. It's like cheating at solitaire. Who really cares if you win?

How do you know this? It's not like HTC tells the community what is done when they receive complaints. I know from personal experience that they have no qualms about removing perk points as I lost several thousand of them in the past,it was from using an inappropriate name not gamming the game but I see very little difference. If you don't a wrong it's usually looked at and dealt with!
Just look at some of the past squelch incedents,the offenders were dealt with but HTC didn't come to the boards and proclaim that they did so.
Personally I'm glad the community post these things as it brings it to HTC's attention,however I don't think we require a response from HTC to explain their actions.

Bacause there was a multi-page extended thread about ArchieD doing it and the next month his scores stood and he was at it again. That tells me HT doesn't care at all about the cheaters in his game as long as they're paying him extra for the priviledge.
