Ar 234 C-3/N
Proposed two-seat night fighter version, armed with two forward-firing 20 mm MG 151/20 and two 30 mm (1.18 in) MK 108 cannons, fitted with a mid-VHF band FuG 218 Neptun V radar.

+1 if it saw combat. The poor man's 262. Can't wait to kill one.

* While the Ar-234 was conducting reconnaissance and bombing operations in defense of the Reich, the type was still being modified and improved. One enhancement was a field modification. A few Ar-234Bs were pressed into service as night fighters by being fitted with FuG 218 "Neptun" longwave radar, featuring nose-mounted aerials, and a belly pack containing two 20 millimeter MG-151/20 cannon. The radar operator was crammed into the fuselage behind the wing. There is no evidence that any of these few improvised Ar-234B night fighters ever scored a kill.

Inside the rear fuel tank??? :uhoh
There's only one way you could've gotten me up as a RIO in one of those puppies: "Feldwebel Bino, it's either this... or the Russian Front!"

The 20mm rear cannon should be removed from the Ar 234.

In the 13 years I've been playing, I've never been shot down by an Ar 234. My comment stems from the research that Lyric did and posted in this forum regarding the Ar 234B didn't have the 20mm rear cannon.

Two ways HTC could go with that. Add the night fighter version or go with what one fellow did when the night fighter squadron was shelved. He took a gun pod from that unit & added it to his AR 234B & decided to go dog fighting in it.
Only happened with one aircraft & it stopped after he had a heavy landing & lost the plane. He did not fare any better than the night fighters either he shot nothing down.
