Title: The most devastating tornado
Post by: Ripsnort on May 22, 2013, 01:28:13 PM
1925 Tri-state tornado still holds the record.
I was a survivor of the Fridley Tornado in Minnesota (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1965_Twin_Cities_tornado_outbreak) in the 1960's (no damage to our home other than our shingles but the neighborhood across the street...we had debris all over our yards...and a few dead pets :( )

I've read much about this tornado. Chances are it was more likely a series of them than one funnel, but we'll never know. No radar back then.

I recommend this book  http://www.amazon.com/Death-Rides-Sky-Tri-State-Tornado/dp/1618760017

Both towns arent too far south of here. Couldnt imagine one of those happening again in modern times on the damage it would do
