I try to look at films and determine how to better survive. Many times the film ends and I can't see any reason for being shot down. Would it be possible to allow the film to continue for a short time from the spot where flight ended to allow us to see the text buffer for messages and get a little more info from surroundings?

you're talking about films you record and times when you get towered out, correct? it's a good thought but, considering the fact that the system is recording from your point of view it cannot record events anywhere you're not...or am i not understanding something correctly in what you're experiencing?

Was wondering if film could continue at the place (or coordinates) in the arena that vehicle/plane is when we tower out. Plus we could capture any system messages associated with being shot down.

ya, i'm not sure what it would take to allow a client side recorder to continue recording events in a location where you're not. maybe if the system was changed so you didn't tower out unless you end the sortie manually?

as for the system messages,  :headscratch:  it's been a long time since i used the recorder so i'm not sure what's going on with your films.

In films we don't get the message that says who or what shot us down if going straight to the tower. In the heat of battle, like defending a field to overwhelming enemy numbers, I just save the film and come back later to look. By the time I look at the film I can't remember who did what.

I don't see rearm messages in the films.
