I'm usually have a Frame Rate of 20-25. Some maps it is even lower. Is this the reason I empty my guns at 200 range and completely miss? If I get close to an enemy base, the auto ack is lethal and the puffy ack is tearing me up at 20k. I only play occasionally but I have been on here for 4 years and I cant seem to improve. Is it my machine (1.5 yrs old) or do I just suck that bad? :bhead

Post a copy of the first third of your dxdiag. Also what in game settings you use like texture size, found in the first screen when you load the game up under video settings, as well as the settings you use in the game like eagles and such.
With more info we might get you computer to run the game a bit better. Next woe be to see a film or two of your flying. Your aim maybe way off. You may be surprised at how much you have to lead a crossing shot.

I'll post that later today. I'll see what I have saved on the film viewer. Most of it is me dying miserably :rofl Thanks for the help.

Games like this depend on having an excellent internet connection. You can have the best computer in the world but if it's internet connection is bad, it won't be any better than an older computer on a great connection.

That depends on what you mean by internet connection. You can have a ping of 200 and be fine as long as it is steady. If it is bouncing all over the place or dropping packets then that would be a problem.
Low frame rates are usually computer issues. Too much stuff running in the back ground, not enough computer to run what your asking it to, like ALL the eye candy, and so on.

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor 3.10
RAM: 4.00 GB (3.75 usable)
System Type: 64-bit operating system
on start of the game it says Video Resolution: 1920x1080 FPS 35
I have max texture set to 512
My video card is: NVIDIA Gforce 6150SE nforce 430
Thanks for your time.

My video card is: NVIDIA Gforce 6150SE nforce 430
And there's your problem. It's an onboard video chip, not meant o be used for modern gaming at all.
Is that a notebook or a regular desktop pc?
-
On top of that it only has 256 MB ram and so uses some of your 4 gig for the video processing, which takes away for other things.
Dropping your texture to 256 and turning off the eye candy.... shadows skins and such might help you up your FR a bit.

Any suggestions for a video card? its a PC

You'll need two bits of info. What motherboard do you have, and what are the specs on your powersupply?
Motherboard info is to be sure you get one that will work with what you have, Power supply info is because as bigger video card eats more juice and if your power supply isn't big enough it will cause other problems. If you have a low end power supply you may have to settle for a low end video card. The good news is most low end video cards are going to work better than an on board video does. :aok

Hotrod, I have boiled my cpu/gpu usage down considerably from where I had it, and my fr's have gone up or stayed steadier since. If you haven't tried several of the things mentioned already, send me a pm and I'll walk you through the things I tried/did to enhance my fr's.

I have been wondering a ping for a while now. Where is the ping you are referring to? The ping on the opening page of AH for me has never been above 130, and is usually quite lower, seems to depend on the volume of players. The ping on the AH page also bounces up down up down, normal? I suspect you are referring to my ISP ping to the AH page though. Please clarify for me.
Also, I'm about to lower my connection speed from my ISP, sadly I don't want to do this, but bills...I believe I'll be going from 25mbps DL & 15 UL to 15mbps DL & 5mbps UL speed. Shall I anticipate considerably worse gameplay and more warping? Gameplay, not to be confused with my lack of skill, but rather smoothness of gpu interchange...

"ping" is the time in milli seconds to the server. Anything under 250 ms is ok, lower is better. The important thing is it being steady. Download/upload speed really doesn't have much to do with it. You can play this game on a 56K phone modem as long as it's steady.
Get this program PingPlotter (http://www.pingplotter.com/downloads/pngplt_1.exe), its free. Install it and in the "address box" put 71.252.137.149 (aces high server). set it to ping every second for about 10 minutes and let it go. The program will tell you how many hops it takes to reach the server, packet lose if you have any, and ping times. Green is good yellow not so much red is BAD.
Take a screen shot and post a picture here for more info about what you have.

You'll be fine as far as bandwidth is concerned for Aces High. I get great results with 1.5mbps, and I remember back in the olden days, when I used ISDN at 128kbps, everything was still just fine. There have always been people using 56kbps dialup modems without problems.
If you need to conserve expen$es, you might consider cutting WAY BACK on that bandwidth. Greedy ISPs won't tell you that you that most people can get by with FAR less bandwidth than they like to sell.
If you watch streaming video, you will need more than you would otherwise need for Aces High. My 1.5mbps system can handle standard definition video (just one computer at a time), but "High-Definition" video is frustrating.
Your plan for 15MBPS download should allow several simultaneous computers or media players to receive high-def streaming video. Is that what you need?
Returning to the subject of Aces High and Internet service, what you really want is a RELIABLE connection with fewer than 1% packet loss and with consistent latency. The best summary of this information can be found HERE:
