Can you cut + paste sections from the film viewer format .ahf and combine them?

Not exactly the same, since you need to load up a separate programme, the question is; why didn't they just integrate it into the game instead? I remember all the fuss about stopping the game from being run at the same time as the film viewer: If it was inside the game the entire time that issue would never of happened. Currently If I want to watch a film of a sortie, I have to exit the game and all that jazz, which is not cool; what if I want to review a sortie quickly before I up again? Is it really necessary to have to close everything and restart the game?

Thanks, Nate. I apparently like AHII enough to spend more time on it than in it. :lol

The reason they took the ability away to watch a film while the game was running is because too many players were using it to find tanks that were hiding in the films and then they would jump back into the game to be able to hit them more easily.
Again a few ruined for everyone else. So you will never see that option again.

I can see the issue... As long as there is a film system, all we are talking about is the space of 10 seconds from closing aces high to loading up a film (on a modern system with both shortcuts next to each-other on the desktop) so, the fix at the moment really doesn't fix anything in that regard.
What they need to do is to set and check a timestamp inside the .ahf file before opening it, so it can't open film before its "developed" (given an hour from time of save).
This would easily allow the ol' film viewer and game up at the same time (for those who really want to).
